Stockdale Insurance has a long and distinguished legacy of providing service and satisfaction to businesses throughout California.
Stockdale Insurance Agency began as Kelly & Sons Insurance in 1902, and through the years served Bakersfield under a variety of names and owners. In 1979, the agency - then known as Clinton Carpenter - was purchased by Bernard C. "Bernie" Naworski and renamed Stockdale Insurance Agency.
Stockdale acquired the Myron Amerine Agency in 1991, and merged with the Clare-Brock Agency a year later, making it a significant competitor in Kern County's insurance market.
In 1999, Stockdale acquired Shepherd, Knapp, and Appleton Insurance, a respected agency serving Fresno since 1889. This gave the agency the scope and resources to serve the insurance needs of all of Central California.
Stockdale Insurance Agency has grown to become one of the region's largest independent insurance brokerage including offices in San Francisco, and the Orange County area.
